Larry's baggy new pants create awkward misunderstandings among Larry, Cheryl, and her friend. A movie theater argument with a female 'stranger' leads to tensions between Larry and his best friend. Larry jokingly refers to Cheryl as "Hitler" during a car speakerphone conversation with Jeff and his attempts to hide it from her—and to appease Jeff's Holocaust sensitive parents—backfire disastrously.

Larry gets into a tense, heated fight with Cheryl, and Larry's secretary suggests that he buy her a present to make up for it. After having lunch with Richard Lewis and helping a blind man, Larry spots the perfect present for Cheryl - a bracelet. Unfortunately, Richard also covets it.
By politely holding the elevator door for a woman in an office building, Larry ends up losing his place before her at the doctor's office, and is delayed 40 minutes. As a result, Larry ends up missing an important meeting with Diane Keaton. At home, Larry and Cheryl are visited by their interior decorator, who has Keaton's phone number but won't give it to Larry even though the actress called and left her number, which Larry couldn't decipher because of static. Thanks to Jeff, however, Larry is able to go to Keaton's house, where he runs into his decorator, gets into a fight, and breaks Diane's lamp -- the same type that was in Porno Gil's pad.
To bury a telephone wire that's an eyesore in his backyard, Larry must befriend his next door neighbors, the Weinstocks, who ask to meet Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Larry regards the request unreasonable, but he arranges for them to meet briefly, which the neighbor is dissatisfied by.
Jeff buys a '57 Chevy and insists that Larry take it for a drive. At a stop sign, Larry mistakes the honking horn from an AAMCO commercial for the car behind him and yells at the other driver, who then hits the Chevy and speeds away. Luckily, Larry meets an antique auto mechanic at a dinner party who says he can fix Jeff's Chevy.
When Cheryl's aunt dies, the family asks Larry to write the obituary. But when it gets printed in the newspaper, an unfortunate typo lands Larry in the hot seat.
While trying to get into a trendy new restaurant, Larry accidentally hands the host Cheryl's prescription instead of a $20. He tries to retrieve the prescription as Cheryl's condition worsens, but later he needs to get a new one, which means facing the doctor he insulted earlier.

Larry lends $5,000 to old friend Barry Weiner, who says he will repay it when his father dies as he feels he is owed an inheritance. When his father dies soon after, Larry is blamed for the death. Larry offers another $5,000 to his acupuncturist if he can cure his neck problems. Larry's neck problem improves significantly but not completely, which leads to a dispute between the two men as to whether or not Larry owes him the money.
As part of a deal with ABC, Larry agrees to attend a screening of a new mini series. While at the after party, Larry finds that the bathroom doors have no locks, so he goes to use the upstairs bathroom, and the network exec's daughter asks him to cut the hair off her doll's head. He does so, but it incurs the wrath of Suzie, a theater goer, and the network exec's wife.
Larry gets court side seats to the Lakers home opener. He's later vilified when he accidentally trips and injures Shaq. But after the incident, Larry uses it to get out of a number of unappealing situations, and things finally start going his way for a change. That is, until he meets Shaq to make up for the incident.
Cheryl and Larry head to Monterey to attend her sister's wedding. Larry is peeved that the man her sister is marrying is a Jewish man converting to Christianity. But Larry has even bigger fish to fry when he misplaces his plane tickets, and accuses the other passengers of stealing them.

Wanda unknowingly starts a rumor about a terrorist attack when she tells Larry about it. Meanwhile, Cheryl's friend is planning a benefit concert with Alanis Morisette performing. When people skip town because of the rumors, the benefit is canceled, and the blame is placed squarely on Larry.
Larry is distraught when he learns that his mother died while he was off shooting a movie in New York, and he doesn't learn about the news until two days after the funeral. Larry uses the loss to get out of a number of unappealing invitations, while plotting to move his mother away from the "special section" of the cemetery.
Suzie buys a guard dog, and Jeff has to leave the house because of allergies. Larry has to persuade Jeff's daughter Sammy to give up the dog, but Sammy wont. Larry, concerned, tries to find a way to please both Jeff and some friends who are also vying for the dog.
Wanda has a new boyfriend, rapper Krazee-Eyez Killa, who shares a little more with his new friend Larry David than a replacement jacket needed for a scene in the new Martin Scorsese film. Meanwhile, Larry offends Suzie by not taking the tour of her new house. Ultimately, in typical Larry David fashion, he ruins everything, through a conversation he has with Cheryl, where she does all the talking.
It's December 23rd, and Larry gets up to get a midnight snack. He eats some cookies in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, those cookies were a nativity scene that Cheryl's devoutly religious sister was preparing, and being Christmas Eve, it's too late to get a replacement. Larry scrambles to find a replacement, which he does in the form of a live nativity scene at a local church. But a hair stuck in Larry's throat means no nativity scene.
Larry figures out a way to fire a chef, and alienate an important restaurant critic, in the days before his new restaurant is scheduled to open. As Susie stews over a misunderstanding with Larry and Cheryl, the Davids spend some quality time at the car wash. With its grand opening at hand, the restaurant owners hire a new chef with a penchant for speaking his mind.

The result of the incident finds Larry being kicked out of the country club and having to cheat his way into a republican club.
Larry scrambles to find tickets to a very promising Dodger game. But before he can go, he has to take care of a few things first. The duties include getting out of jury duty, driving a friend to the airport, and scoring some medical marijuana for his dad's glaucoma. Thankfully a run-in with a rather large hooker helps make all the chores easier.
Larry needs a clean bill of health for "The Producers," but a little heart trouble means no dice. The doctor gives Larry a device called a "heart halter" that is used to monitor his heart. Larry uses the device to get out of some unappealing situations including a baby shower, accusations of blatant racism, and a car accident, which lands him in trouble with his Producers co-star David Schwimmer.
Larry and Jeff decide to buy a "Girls Gone Wild" video tape, and that lands them both in the hot seat with Larry's secretary and Jeff's wife after the dog leaves the house during the viewing of the tape. Meanwhile, Larry seeks the help of his native American gardener to cure Cheryl of a feminine problem after Larry mistakenly wears a condom inside out.
